Warm Weather

I missed the bus home from campus tonight, so I'm walking home. I'm actually glad I missed the bus. The weather is great tonight, and the sun is going down so its the perfect temperature outside.

I'm not looking forward for this winter. Cold weather, snow, cold houses. Lots of clothing... Bah! I should move somewhere where it never gets too cold. Where you can drive around with your windows down all year.

I did, however, find somewhat of a solution to my hatred of winter. I bought a snow board online last night from a very special website (sorry... Its a secret). Its the capita black death board. I'm a fan. Over the next two months, assuming I can get my hands on boots, bindings, and some cash for lift tickets, I just might not hate life this winter.

New Apartment

So, as some know already, im stayin here for the summer, (in logan), and me matt and cameron found a way sweet apartment/duplex to live in. It has 3 floors. 2 bedrooms and a bath upstairs, 2 bedrooms and a bath in the basement, and a main floor with a kitchen, main room, balcony, and half bathroom. Basically its a good sized place in which to dwell. And the best part, its just gonna be me and cameron in there for the first month. Hopefully conor and tom and nick and those fools come down and visit often this summer so we dont have an empty house. Ill throw up some pictures once we get moved in this weekend...

More Catch Up...

Yeah, im really bad at this. I guess it goes to show you all how RIDICULOUSLY busy i've been this semester. Its been pretty crazy, but thats what happens when you take all studio art classes...

I'll Throw up some pictures of artwork i've done this semester, that teachers have handed back. I'll have to do another post when i get the rest back...

(remember: click on the pictures to see them in high res)

this is an intaglio on copper print i did in my print class. If you dont know what that is, ask me sometime in person and i'd be glad to explain the process!

One semester of catch up....

Ok, so my last post was right at the beginning of the semester, and it is currently finals week. Hopefully i dont get this far behind again for a while. This is gonna be mostly pictures, with a little text, so deal with it...

Ok, first, we have our finished backyard ramp. This was finished before moving to logan, but i dont know why i didnt put a picture of it up.

One night we made a bonfire in Kellyn's backyard. We used a wicker cabinet for fuel, and that stuff burns big and bright.

We had many friends come down and visit. James came one last time before leaving on his mission. We had a pretty fun time.

Lastly, we went down to st. George and visited my sister Brooke and her month old baby Maddox. It was very fun to see her again, and see her incredibly cute baby. I wont post pictures of him, so click on the link to the right of the page to go look at em.

Moved to Logan

Today was the end of my first week of class down here at USU, and because of this occasion, its time for a new blog post. We moved down here on saturday, and were pleasantly surprised to see how nice our apartment is. We hadn't seen it in person yet, so it was a relief to know it wasnt a dive. Jason has been living on our couch (the house he's supposedly moving into has had some delays) and Zach and Luke are living here too. Also, our new roommate, who we didnt know before, is named Cameron. He's a pretty cool kid. We've had a lot of fun hangin out, and having Jason over to join in the insanity. We've gone skating a few times, and have just had a lot of fun!

Behind Smiths

Last night was pretty rad. Me, Jason, Zach, and Luke went skating for a little bit, and like always I took my camera along. I'm pretty stoked because Luke is starting to skate again, which will be awesome down in Logan. Its always way more fun when you have a bunch of friends to go with.

We took some pictures of us skating, and throwing out some sick poses. (click the picture to zoom in)

This is the best picture. I have no idea what happened, but Jason looks INSANELY goofy. It looks like he only has 4 teeth, and HUGE gums. I laughed uncontrollably for about five minutes last night when we saw it. Please click on the picture and take a closer look at his mouth...

Zach looked exceptionally dirtbag last night as well. He can be seen here rockin' the beret, dirty Italian poo 'stash, and perfectly matched creepy smile.

I have a lot to get done this week. I move down to Logan Saturday, with Zach and Luke, and we need to set up our utilities, among many other things before we move down. But until then, I'm just enjoin' life.

Bryan Leavin'

So this last week has been pretty crazy, with me getting ready to move down to school, and spending time with Bryan, before seeing him off on his mission yesterday.

Caitlyn and I threw him a party-esque thing on saturday night. A bunch of people came over and we all hung out. We watched some Young Frankenstein, one of Bryan's favorite movies, and had a good ol' time.

On tuesday night he got set apart at the stake center. We took some pictures and whatnot. Later that night he said goodbye to all his friends, which was pretty sad to see. Later that night it all kinda started to hit me that my brother and best friend all my life was going to be gone for two years.

I didnt get much sleep tuesday night (I finally fell asleep around 3:30am), and we woke up wednesday bright and early at 6am. We had a pretty long 4 hour drive down to the Provo Missionary Training Center.

At the MTC we said our goodbyes, and went our separate ways. We tried to make it quick and painless, kinda like pulling off a band-aid. The drive home kinda sucked, especially because it was so long.

Night of Excitement

Well, this has been an eventful week. ...at least an eventful week for a college student lazing around at home for the summer.

To start it all off, I broke my pinky skateboarding. If i knew how to fall or roll or whatever i would have been just fine, but thats not the case. And i'm only pretty sure i broke it. I havent gone to the doctor or anything yet, but its pretty gnarley.

Every once in a while i'll forget that its not at 100%, and i'll grab something hard and it will crack out loud. Fun stuff. I just tape it up when i go skateboard and im golden.

Last night I hung out with a few people who I haven't seen in a while. Mack Perry came over, and so did Brianne Flint and her friend Charity, who's from Tennessee . We all wanted to go do something fun, so we got our swimsuits with plans to go swim in the canal over by Taylor's Crossing. Unfortunately, my friends are the most unadventurous people in the world so they all voted me out and we went to the Holiday Inn instead.

Come on! Swimming around in a 1.5 meter deep pool is more fun that bridge jumping in a canal? Oh well... Maybe next time...

first

I've been meaning to start a blog for quite some time, and today, i think its actually going to happen! I figure that since i don't keep a journal anymore, and because I'm somewhat of a tech person, i can hopefully keep this going for a while.

I am currently a student at Utah State, and I'm majoring in Graphic Design... well, at least for now... They say college students change majors several times, but we'll see if thats my case.

In addition to posting pictures and things that are going on in my life, I'll be posting artwork and different random crap I am sufficiently proud of.

Here is one of my more recent "art" pieces. This one above is my drawing I final. I did it with charcoal and measures 24"x54"

Well, thats all for now.
